“When God comes, he always calls us out of our house. We are visited so that we can visit others; we are encountered so as to encounter others; we receive love in order to give love.”
“Love is shown by little things, by attention to small daily signs which make us feel at home. Faith grows when it is lived and shaped by love. That is why our families, our homes, are true domestic churches.”
A parish church is a spiritual family, a fellowship of disciples of the Jesus Christ. Every Christian is called through Baptism to follow Jesus Christ by worshiping the Father in Sprit and in Truth, by loving one another, by proclaiming the Gospel, and by serving those in need. We hope this website will give you a glance of how we do these things here at St. Jospeh Church Watervliet, MI.
If you are new to the parish or just dropping by to take a look, you are most welcome. Our parish community is a vibrant one that seeks to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ present and effective here in Watervliet -Michigan. Please feel free to contact our parish office: 269-463-5470 or firstname.lastname@example.org

(This prayer is among the earliest prayers to St. Joseph, (from around A.D. 50) and also one of the best known)
Oh St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your divine son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.
Oh St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen
